Monday, October 3: The Place of Ministry

my faith in God’s providence has not spared me from the difficulties, disappointments, and heartaches of daily living but it has certainly given me the unique strength to remain calm and confident that i am not alone.  and, that Person will come through for me now or later.

i have ceased to panic.  “I can face things as they actually are in the light of the reality of Jesus Christ.”

last saturday, His help came in the nick of time.   this happens many times though.  a month ago when i had asked for no less than a million pesos to come to my bank account in just one week, He forked over — not in the way i expected, but He did, anyway.  sometime last year when i needed to raise P275,000.00 in three days, He gave me P500,000.00.

when we focus and “concentrate on Him, and then doubling and redoubling that concentration on Him instead of following the ideas that we draw from our own nature…  we get through in the presence of Christ. Then that very problem itself, and all that we have been through in connection with it, will glorify Jesus Christ in a way that we will never know until you see Him face to face.”  — My Utmost For His Highest

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13) ” the answer lies in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.”

although Christ is so much more than a friend in need, being close and intimate with Him pays in a million other ways, both now and after.

“my Lord Jesus, thank You! take hold of me constantly so that i may be empowered to live in calm and joy no matter what.  amen.”
