Tuesday, September 6: The Far-Reaching Rivers of Life

“He who believes in Me . . . out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” —John 7:38

the characteristic of a true believer which sets him apart from all other Christians is that of embracing Christ’s presence within him.

the more open and submissive we are to Christ, the more He can take over us.

it is wrong to think that the far-reaching rivers flow because of us or that the rivers are us.  “We have nothing to do with the outflow— “This is the work of God, that you believe. . .” (John 6:29).  — My Utmost For His Highest

it is Christ who lives in us and who, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us,  fully supplies us with life, love, freedom, understanding, and light —  in abundance.  in turn, without our knowing, we pass on  these graces to the ends of the earth.

we become the instruments by which the Holy Spirit shall bless the world.  we become more vibrant and effective in our walk with Him.   and by faith we live on Him and his grace.

FOCUS on the Source… on our God. He who dwells in you will do the rest.

“hello, Jesus.  thank You very much for desiring to live within me.  let me always be a gracious host and a loyal follower to Your heart.”
