August 29, Monday: The Unsurpassed Intimacy of Tested Faith

there are times when life takes us to the seemingly impossible and all we have left is God’s promises to cling on.  and, we do — we cling on to His promises for dear life, regardless if everyone around tells us how stupid and illogical we are for leaving crucial things in God’s hands.

then, viola!  the Lord’s promises not just bring us hope and reason to live but they actually reach fulfillment, bail us out of our predicament, make a way around our problem,  and we end up really fine!  praise God!

“faith is absolute trust in God— trust that could never imagine that He would forsake us.”  — My Utmost For His Highest

but many find it difficult to believe and trust in Him.

God is our heavenly Father who created all things and all mankind.  Although we cannot see Him, we can feel Him — we feel His love and presence in the abundance of blessings around us, if we only look hard enough.  God, the Father is driven by love.

Christ, the Son of God, suffered and died for us to save us from eternal damnation.  He, too, is driven by love.

the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God that gives us the power and grace to manifest our faith  in and love for Christ.  He, too, is driven by love.

now, tell me,  wouldn’t it be easier for you to just lay down your fears and doubts and give the control of your life to our one, true, and powerful God who is driven by love in its purest form… the One who loves us most before anything else?

i have.

“Lord, i ask that You look after me, my family, my loved ones, my plans, my projects, my businesses, my workers at work and at home.  and, when i make decisions out of genuine, childlike faith in You, help me that nothing and no one can ever change them.  let me not waiver ever, dear Jesus, in my trust and faith in You.”

Thank you I needed this today!! And yes, it is easier to lay down my fears and doubts versus trying to figure out God’s plan…His ways are so much higher…and His love is truly my mainstay.
    Blessings to you….
