“A spiritually vigorous saint never believes that his circumstances simply happen at random… he sees every situation he finds himself as the means of obtaining a greater knowledge of Jesus Christ, and he has an attitude of unrestrained abandon and total surrender… the Holy Spirit is determined that we will have the realization of Jesus Christ in every area of our lives… and He will bring us back to the same point over and over again until we do.” — My Utmost For His Highest
whatever we are facing, we have to recognize and acknowledge the will and presence of Christ in it. whatever we are undergoing, Jesus had undergone first. and, He willingly denied Himself to the point of death all for the love of the Father and mankind.
“my lord, You know the depth of my frustration, my need, and my unhappiness. but i trust that You are right there in every minute of my pain, doubt, and fear that is why i can bear it all and live each day in hope. i thank You, dear God, for the gift of friendship and love You have promptly surrounded me and my family. i know that You are bigger than life and all the good and bad things that come my way. i believe with all my heart that all this is just part of Your wonderful plan for me. i walk only in Your light. thank You, Jesus. be with me.”
